- Associates Degree or Industry Technology Certification desired. The following certifications would be beneficial/preferred: CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security)
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and chrome operating systems and devices
- A minimum of three years' experience in technology support services preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on computing devices and peripherals
- Working knowledge of local area and wireless networks
- Excellent technical, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Be able to explain complex technical issues to users in a non-technical, simple to understand manner
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times and work well with others as a team
- Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Reports to: Technology Director
Performance Objective:
- To provide maintenance and repairs for Chromebook and PC-based hardware, software and peripherals throughout the district including, but not limited to desktops and laptops, printers, projectors and interactive boards, security cameras, as well as aid in the maintenance of the network (wired and/or wireless infrastructure. Provide assistance including, but not limited to the use of chromebooks and PC hardware, software, apps, projecting and printing from devices, troubleshooting network, applications, access and connectivity To support and maintain a functional technology environment for educational instruction.
Requirements:
- Support, troubleshoot and repair chromebook and PC-based hardware and software, tablets, and other similar technology-based equipment
- Make onsite visits to schools to identify, correct, and provide assistance with hardware, software, and implementation needs
- Manage and update software applications, servers, and user accounts as assigned
- Assist in cabling installation indoor/outdoor for connecting technology equipment
- Perform basic network troubleshooting and resolution
- Maintain and update technology-related work orders which may include both hardware and software troubleshooting, documenting all work done
- Diagnosing and returning failed hardware with vendors/manufacturers as needed
- Assist the fixed asset manager in maintenance of paperwork and documentation to ensure technology fixed assets are reported to be in the proper locations
- Pre-installation and staging of equipment including receiving, setup, labeling
- Manage time on task and proactively work technology issues as they are reported
- Be available by phone, text and email to other members of the technology staff
- Attend any technology related trainings and seminars deemed necessary by the Technology Director
- Any other tasks as assigned by Technology Director
