ENTERPRISE ATTENDANCE CENTER
Enrollment
- Last year, Enterprise had an enrollment of 835 students – 4th consecutive year of enrollment above 800
- Average enrollment 2009-2012: 823
- Increased enrollment in 7 out of last 8 years
– Only school in Lincoln County with this level of growth
Test Scores – Preliminary results from MDE stated Enterprise will be a High Performing school. Enterprise is the only school in the district to jump two levels.

– 55 students took ACT (up 12% from last year)

Academic Advances
- Created an online student broadcast (Jacket Studio)
- Started high school robotics team (BEST) – competed @ MSU
- LEGO robotics team grew to 2 teams
- Allie Reid scored a 29 on ACT – highest in several years
- Enterprise, in conjunction with Co-Lin, hosted the 1st every Biotechnology Inquiry Rodeo (Wolbachia Rodeo)
Class of 2012
- 13 Seniors were named MS Scholars (28% of class)
– Every MS Scholar received a scholarship
- 16 Seniors were Honor Graduates (33% of class)
- Received over 40 scholarships totaling in excess of $20,000
- Miranda Leggett received the Plum Creek Scholarship, one of only 6 awarded in Mississippi
- Crystal Byrd was named to Southwest Mississippi Community College Dance Team and Stage Band
- Konnor Burke awarded baseball scholarship to Copiah Lincoln CC
- FBLA
FBLA – District Winners:
- 1st Place: Lauren Nuckles, Middle Level Keyboarding I
- 1st Place: Rainee Luper, Middle Level Keyboarding II

Beta Club
Senior Beta
- Grant Brister won MS State Secretary (EAC has won this office 2 out of last 3 and 3 out of last 6 years)
– Finished 2nd at the National Beta Convention in Greensboro, North Carolina
- 3rd Place: Service Project
- 3rd Place: Character Skit
Junior Beta
- Dustin Dunaway ran for MS State Junior Secretary
Enterprise Beta has won either a Junior or Senior office 4 out of the last 6 years (no other school in the district has won either, EVER)
Teacher Accomplishments
- Kathy McKone was named MS Science Recipient for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) – Top 100 Math/Science teachers in the NATION
- Erika Dixon was named to the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science Advisory Board for a three-year term
- Service
- Marilyn Greer named MS Blood Services Coordinator of the Year
- Student Council and Beta have participated in drives for Blair E. Batson
- Raised money for various families experiencing hardship, including funeral expenses for a former student
- Raised money for a teacher assistant that lost her house due to fire
- EAC Student Council and FFA held Veterans’ Day Program
- EAC raised $3,600 for Make-A-Wish
- Sports
- Softball won District for the second year in a row
- Baseball won District for the first time in over 30 years (1st time as 2A school)
- Jeremy Ables and Caroleah Brister made All-District in Tennis and advanced to State 2A Tournament
- Archery place in Top 10 at the AIMS State Invitational and Franklin County Tournaments
- Miscellaneous
- Caroleah Brister was selected to the Generation Free Team and receiving a $1,000 scholarship. She was one of 10 selected in the state.
- Caroleah also was 1st Alternate at Lincoln County Distinguish Young Woman (former Junior Miss) and was chosen to participate in the Magnolia Electric Youth Leadership Program in Washington, D.C.
- Jannan Wilson was accepted to attend the Mississippi Governor’s School this June (first time in over 10 years)
- Matt N. Greer was selected to attend Boys State this Summer
- Robotic INCEPTIONS placed 1st in Programming at State Competition in Hattiesburg, MS (out of 45 teams). Robotic MEAT GRINDERS had highest practice round score of 45 teams at State
Notable Alumni
- Graduate Lacey Orr (’10) received the University of Mississippi Lyceum Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship awarded to only ten of the highest-achieving community college students statewide.
- Four of Enterprise’s Class of 2011 (Jedd Moak, Allie Tate, Chynna Coghlan, Kelly Dunaway) were invited to be Co-Lin Trailblazers. Fifty students across SW MS applied for 16 positions and EAC will make up 25% of the group.
- 95 new members were inducted into Co-Lin’s Phi Theta Kappa, 10 of which graduated from Enterprise (Jedd Moak, Kaitlin Moak, Haley White, Chynna Coghlan, Karla Beth Hux, Hannah Russell, Abby Morris, Alyssa Nations, Haley Wicker, Sarah Beth Sanders)
