District Employees: Regarding Your W-2 Tax Form
DISTRICT – The following is an important message from the Business Department of the Central Office regarding your W-2 tax form for 2012:
As a result of the comprehensive changes included in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act passed by Congress, the cost of your group health insurance must be reported on your W-2 forms beginning with the 2012 W-2 forms. We must reconcile the cost included in our system for each employee with that provided to us by the Department of Finance and Administration. Their information will not be available until at least the middle of January. As a result, please do not call and ask for a copy of your W-2. The W-2 forms will be made available to all employees at the earliest possible date.
