Grant Brister Voted As Beta State Secretary
ENTERPRISE – Grant Brister, a student of Enterprise Attendance Center, was recently voted to receive High School Beta State Secretary for Mississippi. The state convention, held in Tupelo on February 20th-21st, included thousands of Beta Club members from around the state.
According to Kimmy Eubanks (EAC Beta sponsor), Grant was required to create a theme, skit and write a speech for stage performance in order to run for State Secretary. Grant’s new leadership position will require him to help organize and make sure next year’s convention runs smoothly. He will run for office at the National Beta Convention and attend Broyhill Leadership Conference during the summer in North Carolina.
Also in the convention, Enterprise won Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital 3rd place award by collecting coloring books, crayons and Play Doh. They delivered the items to the kids for Christmas and was able to carry enough snacks to adopt a floor for a week.
The Enterprise Beta Club competed in a new character skit event this year. Students had to create and learn a 4-6 minute skit based on character.
